Though many were shot down, some still hit. In order to stop the obvious spread of the virus and to keep the infected ones in, many walls were built up in the struck areas, with little to no way out. This however did not stop the spread of contamination and radiation. You're in one of the hit locations but managed to survive this long, but the fight for survival doesn't stop here.
